Architectural Elevator Consulting is a consulting firm that provides counsel, efficiency programs and design solutions for elevator and vertical transportation projects. Founded by Bob Nicholson, Architectural Elevator Consulting (AEC) offers targeted project management services for architects, engineers, and building owners involved in the design, management and maintenance of elevators and other vertical transportation systems in the United States and throughout the world.
Nicholson, a 25-year veteran of the architectural services industry, NAESA-certified elevator inspector and award-winning specialist in elevator modernization, serves as principal and lead consultant of the firm. Ed Bies heads the Nevada operations while Jack Arns runs the California operations, each with more than two decades of technical expertise in effective maintenance and repair solutions.
AEC delivers new construction, modernization and efficiency programs including inspection services, quality assurance audits, bid management, in-house CAD drawings, and strategies that can improve the performance and safety of new and existing elevator and escalator systems.
